How did Flippers get its name?
This question has been asked many times over the years. Some people think Flip may have been a nickname for one of the owners or because our first Flippers Pizzeria opened next to Sea World. The real reason is because all our pizza dough is made fresh, delivered to our pizzerias from our local Commissary, then hand tossed, or “flipped” before cooking it to perfection in our brick ovens for your enjoyment.
